Check in is from 4pm-9pm for non package OVERNIGHT STAYS Please advise us of your actual expected arrival time in advance so we can be here to welcome you.
Overnight Pamper ladies check in at 11am.
Breakfast: from 830am till 10.00am . Dining room is cleared after 10am . We offer a full English breakfast to all guests included in your room or package rate (Cereals & fresh fruit on request).
Check out is 10.30 am as cleaning start then. Failure to vacate your room by then will incur a waiting charge of £20 per hour to cover staff wages.
Or £20 per 30min intervals after11.00 am.
Your room may only be available for longer periods if you pre book , as we can delay cleaning staff arrival.
The property is non – smoking. This includes prohibited use of incense, candles, flammable liquids or naked flames inside all areas of the property. You may smoke outside,on your private patio in your area of garden disposing of any litter in the flower pots provided please.
Access: The Groundfloor bedroom and Shirehouse are ground floor and one level rooms. The garden suite has upvc patio doors with a frame, so a little one brick height step up and small step over the door frame itself into the suite. The Shirehouse also has patio doors but they are frameless so floor level, so no steps inwards. They both have shower rooms with just a small step into the shower cubicle itself.. We do not have any mobility devices or handrails in any of our rooms. our cottage and its accomodations is not suitable for mobility impaired, children or dogs/pets due to the steep low height staircases and low door frames. We have exposed ,white washed and in some cases raised the old ceilings but if your are around 6ft you will have to duck through all doorways and even in the shower’s in most of the house.
This is our home, we live here. We welcome you and serve your breakfast. You can not sneak pets or additional people in!
Please do not eat /drink on or in the beds, Please use the dining room or garden, tables & coasters are provided. Wine, make-up & food stains on bedding & carpets that can not be reoved in normal washing will be charged in cash or taken from your security deposit, along with any items damaged or taken from the premises such as robes, towels, kettles. Items will be charged at cleaning costs or if needed the replaceable value.
We have full central heating & controls on radiators in each room for your comfort. If you are hot or cold simply let us know. We can supply a fan heater or cool fan. All windows are left unlocked due to fire safety, simply press button and turn. Our Groundfloor bedroom has a wood burning stove. This must not be touched in any way. Stoves are hot, touching fires or leaving them on overnight or when you go out, or related products may result in injury & is at the guests own risk. The owners of Stourview Cottage cannot be held responsible for any injury or damage caused to persons or any personal property. Any resulting damage to Stourview Cottage by any guests & negligence will be charged/ invoiced in full to the guest /suite / room responsible.
Please hand in your key on check out. Failure to do so will incur a replacement lock / barrel and key tag charge.
There is plenty of free on site guest parking & turning. Signs indicate.
Please note, all vehicles’& belongings therein are left at the owner’s risk.
Please approach the drive/entrance to Stourview Cottage with caution; it is a steep & sharp turning, enter downhill as we recommend. Please be advised that tow bars will scratch so you must approach downhill not uphill, or you may damage your tow bar ,exhaust pipe and our tarmac driveway! We advise that you approach & enter the driveway coming down White Hill only. Stourview Cottage and the owners cannot & will not be liable to/for any damage or injury caused, to persons or their vehicles and or belongings.
Please be mindful noise levels particularly if returning late (late is after 11pm & if completely under the influence you may be refused entry). This is a 300 yr old creaky house. Please remember to turn off any outside and or inside lights once you have returned.
If you are hot , turn heaters off or you room thermostat down before you open windows & doors.

Please vacate the dining room by 9pm so we can set up for your breakfast, you have your own lounge please use that, as we can not hear you in there.
You must advise us of any health or mobility problems that you or your guests may have. As we can not allow the infirm /mobility impaired /disabled/ children & babies due to health & safety. We are not medically trained, local hospital & doctor’s contact numbers are on the notice board or in file in the dining room.
Please check all your confirmation/payment details thoroughly; advising us of any errors changes you wish to make ASAP or a admin or cancellation charge will apply. You must advise how many people are in your booking and staying with us; we have a min & max occupancy rate.
Up to 9 persons can be accommodated sharing all bedrooms & 2 persons in the log cabin.
Extra persons are not permitted in your suite or rooms due to fire risk / health & safety.
If you use an additional bed or bedroom within your suite, you will be charged the room rate or min a cleaning and Landry fee per bed used. (£30 to £50 per single, £75 to £150 per double)
All B&B , Beauty therapy or massage treatments, entertainment & food bookings must be paid for in full at time of booking please as provided by others.
Cancellation /Refund policy: All deposits (min £25 pp or £50 pp) are non refundable, but your security deposit of £100 min or £25pp is refundable or transferable .
All bookings cancelled with less than 7 days notice and all no shows will be charged at 100% of the booking cost.
Refunds only avaialble if we can re-sell that booking ( less your deposit and any booking fees incurred for food ,entertainments, specialist treatments or massage booked in advance).
(Please note any cancellation charges incurred, due to your illness or injury may be recovered by your relevant holiday insurance policy)
Deposits required: min£25.00 per person deposit can reserve your date; this is non-refundable but may be transferable. Plus a £25pp security deposit ( for damages or additional cleaning) Security deposits are returned within 7 days of your stay if no damage or additional cleaning was needed. So £50.00 pp for overnight stays.
Your booking (accommodation package & any added treatment prices) is not guaranteed until you have paid in full. Full payment is required no later than 6 weeks before your arrival. ( we review prices and make changes to our packages when needed. So check what is included when you book, payed in full) Do not assume packages will be the same year after year.
Our terms & conditions are updated as needed, you must check them at time of booking and or before your stay with us. We were a 5* B&B but we no longer offer that just pre booked private party bookings. We are not open to the public. By appointment only.
Please call with any questions or for an up-to-date or hard copy. A copy will be in your suite room/room file and or available at check in.
Please note: it is your responsibility to read and understand these/our terms and conditions, When you sign in on arrival, you are agreeing to these/our terms and conditions and accepting pre authorization and safe storage of your payment details until the day of your check out When your bill is compiled and settled / paid in full and your room / suite checked and cleaned.
Afternoon teas are £15.00 pp when added to a package. £20.00 for a guest to just join you for Tea.
Light lunch options are £10.00 pp
